Art Teacher 50%, Temporary Position

International English School (IES) Lund is a grades 4-9 school with approximately 700 students and 80 staff members. IES Lund is a school where teachers can focus on teaching, students are given the opportunity to learn, and everyone enjoys coming to school every day. The school has an international orientation and instruction is conducted in both English and Swedish. The school prioritizes learning and knowledge. Students learn to take personal responsibility for their own development and work environment and to respect their classmates, teachers, and themselves.

We are now primarily seeking a licensed* teacher for the upper secondary level with subject competence in art for the autumn term of the 2025/26 academic year. The position is a part-time temporary contract (50%) from 2025-08-06 to 2025-12-20.

The position includes shared mentorship. You have a positive view of people and the ability to create good relationships with students, colleagues, and guardians. As a teacher with us, you find it fun, stimulating, and rewarding to teach students from various countries and provide each student the opportunity to develop based on their individual circumstances and abilities.

*If you teach in English, an art teacher qualification from an English-speaking university for the corresponding grades replaces a Swedish license according to SkoL 2:17.

Responsibilities:

• Plan and conduct lessons
• Assess student progress, provide constructive feedback, and maintain accurate documentation
• Mentorship for students in one of the classes you teach
• Collaborate with colleagues to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment
• Participate in professional development and contribute to the school's community

Who are you?
